At the currently ongoing Geneva Motor Show, the German manufacturer Carlsson presented an interesting modification of the smallSmart ForTwo city car . It is called the Race Edition and will mainly appeal to the male part of the population!
The Smart ForTwo Coupe Race Edition offers a complete body extension kit, sports exhaust system and LED daytime running lights. The chassis was also modified, which is reduced by 15 mm at the front and 30 mm at the rear compared to the standard version of the car. Technicians from the Carlsson company also installed special lightweight sports 17" wheels , which take the little Smart to a completely different dimension.
Not even the engine was left out. Thanks to a special package, Carlsson increased the output from 84 to a more reasonable 112 hp , and the maximum torque increased from 120 Nm to 158 Nm . Thanks to this, the Smart ForTwo Race Edition can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 9.9 seconds and its maximum speed is 155 km/h. That's 10 km/h more than the standard version of the ForTwo model.
If you are already thinking about buying a bloated Smart, you are in for a slight disappointment. This urban devil will be intended only for the Swiss market.
