The modernized Movano received Start/Stop and an increase in the weight of the towed trailer

The Movano , the popular universal utility vehicle of the Opel brand , now has even lower consumption and, thanks to it, lower operating costs – this is mainly thanks to the Start/Stop technology .

This system is now available for all manual transmission box versions powered by the 100PS and 125PS 2.3 CDTI engines. By introducing the Start/Stop system, the average fuel consumption and CO 2 emissions were reduced by up to 8%. For example, the Opel Movano in the Combi version with a short wheelbase and low roof now has a consumption of only 6.7 l/100 km and CO 2 emissions of only 176 g/km.

Other improvements to the Movano model range include an increase in the permissible trailer weight by 15%. The braked trailer weight of the Movano chassis/double cab rear-wheel drive (RWD) and dual-mount rear-wheel drive (DRW) versions has been increased by the manufacturer from 3 to 3.5 tons . This makes these two versions of the Opel Movano even better suited for transporting heavy loads.

A new optional equipment element that improves driving comfort and facilitates access to the cargo area is pneumatic suspension . This feature is available on all 3.5 tonne front wheel drive versions – box vans and chassis/dual cab chassis. The pneumatic suspension can also be controlled by remote control and allows the car to be raised by 7 cm from its base position or lowered by up to 20 millimeters , making loading and unloading easier.

The new Combi version with a partially glazed cabin is intended for customers whose priority is the lowest operating costs. This version is homologated as an M1 category passenger car , reducing insurance costs. An alternative is the fully glazed Movano Combi classified as M1.
