Volvo has modernized six of its models

Volvo is preparing a proper model offensive for Geneva . Not only will it show the announced facelift of the XC60 SUV , but at the same time it will present the modernization of five other models across all categories.

We will start with the smallest modernized model – the sedan S60 or station wagon V60 . Both models received new headlights with daytime running lights, a revised front fascia, new bumpers and LED taillights . Technically, Volvo managed to reduce the emissions of the D2 version of the S60 to just 113 g CO2/km. For an additional fee, you can also buy a sports chassis, which was previously reserved only for the R-Design model, for all engine variants.

The most popular model of the brand – the XC60 SUV received a completely new front part as part of the modernization, which visually expands the car. Among the individual changes, let's name new lights, a larger radiator grille, a modified bumper or a completely new hood. The Corner Traction Control system was newly added to the standard equipment.

Large models S80, V70 and XC70 have seen the least changes. Design changes include a new bonnet, a slightly modified front bumper and a new grille with a larger logo. Volvo should also reduce emissions in these models – specifically, it is the D2 engine , where the S80 emits only 108 g CO2/km, the V70 112 g CO2/km and the XC70 139 g CO2/km.

Look for changes common to all models in the cabins. There, the quality of the materials used and above all the technical level improved. Every single new model gets the Sensus Connected Touch multimedia system with a 7-inch touchscreen. This system has a built-in Internet connection, voice control of some functions and can display maps in 3D . Another technical innovation is the use of paddles under the steering wheel in models with automatic transmission.
