Mercedes presented a sharp

Munich and Ingolstadt . Two cities in Germany that have in common perhaps only the production of cars and their mutual rivalry. As of today, one more threat has been added to it – the Stuttgart star named A45 AMG .

"The world's most powerful turbocharged four-cylinder car" . This is how Mercedes describes its new creation, which was also dedicated to it by the AMG division . And admit that this "quote" alone can scare BMW or Audi . And what then, when they open the hood and see that fabulous four-cylinder with a turbo and a volume of two liters … That has to hit the ground with them.

And when they read the technical data, it gets even worse. Maximum power of 360 horsepower , maximum torque of 450 Newton meters and, in conjunction with the 7-speed dual-clutch AMG Speedshift DCT automatic, acceleration to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. These are not quite the parameters of a classic family hatchback. In the shadow of this information, the electronically limited speed freezes a little to 250 km/h. If you are afraid that the engine will eat you, then you are wrong. According to Mercedes, the A45 AMG claims an average of only 6.9 liters of gasoline per 100 km. Realistically, you can count on 10 liters, but it's still not the worst.

The chassis also had to adapt to the engine and power. That's why the sharp A-class has a new ESP that works in three stages or is completely switched off, more sensitive steering and better brakes.

The appearance of the car has only been decently modified, so at first glance you will probably only notice the 18-inch wheels . However, the front bumper received a black "lollipop", the radiator grille, the rear diffuser and, above all, the exhaust tips, which will surely emit a beautiful sound, are new. The interior is dominated by sports seats, a sports steering wheel and, of course, carbon fiber .

The world premiere will take place in Geneva , but many car companies already have a pretty big bug in their heads.
