Holden introduced the new generation of the Commodore model

Today, at a special ceremony in Sydney, Holden showed the world for the first time the new generation of the Commodore sedan . which is codenamed VF . The automaker itself boasts that the new product is the most technologically advanced car produced in Australia.

Whether this claim is true or not is probably best left to the Australian media. However, from the first reports, we can easily find out that the Commodore VF will get a parking assistant , a MyLink multimedia system with a touch screen or keyless entry and start in all trim levels.

The appearance of the model corresponds to the latest Holden models and at the same time somewhat refers to some other GM models. After all, the Commodore VF will also become the new Chevrolet SS sedan, which will premiere in just a few days. Compared to the previous generation, the novelty will offer a distinctive radiator grille, LED daytime running lights or completely new rear lamps, which optically stretch the car.

The interior will offer, as I said, the MyLink system. However, it will certainly not be the only novelty compared to the sold model with the designation VE. The entire center console is actually completely new, which should offer not only better materials, but also better ergonomics of the controls . Alarm clocks in separate tubes act dynamically.

Holden keeps technical details such as used engines and transmissions to itself. We'll see if the premiere of the Chevrolet SS changes anything.
