The Infiniti Q50 will make its European debut in Geneva

The new Infiniti Q50 sports sedan will make its European debut on March 5 at this year's Geneva Motor Show, with all the prerequisites to build strong customer interest in the luxury segment. The car is the first of a new generation of Infiniti models bearing the "Q" designation, and its European version is reaping the first fruits of a cooperation agreement with alliance partner Daimler AG .

For the first time ever, the Q50 model will be presented to the public outside the US, where it had its world premiere in January at the Detroit Auto Show. The basic engine will be a gasoline atmospheric six-cylinder with a volume of 3.7 liters and a maximum power of 244 kW. Fans of hybrids will be able to reach for a variant with a six-cylinder with a volume of 3.5 liters and an electric motor that will offer a power of 264 kW. A diesel version cannot be missing in Europe either, but we will learn more about it only after the car is presented in Geneva. However, one of the six-cylinder engines of the Mercedes-Benz car company can be expected. Regardless of engine choice, the unit will be mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission.

The flexible and distinctive design of the Q50 refers both to the sports sedans of Infiniti's past and to the trio of concepts (Essence, Etherea, Emerg-e ) that help shape its future. In the car, we can find a number of electronic assistants, such as direct adaptive steering, the i-Key system , which sets up to 96 preferences of the current driver in the car, or the Active Lane Control system, which uses side cameras to monitor what is happening while driving and can keep the car in the lane.
