And first in line is a large SUV with an as yet unspecified name. It should be introduced already in 2015 and should be mainly aimed at the Chinese and Russian car markets . There will also be two interior variants – 5 seats will be available in China, 7 seats in Russia.
Winfried Vahland , head of the car company, also spoke about the new SUV: "It must be a car with annual sales of at least 100,000 units, and the greatest interest in similar vehicles is in China." The Chinese love the Yeti and big SUVs. That's why we want to offer them a similar type of car."
But the same person also points out that it will not be a car in any way connected to Yeti : "We have big plans with Yeti. We are already producing an extended version in China, which should soon begin to be assembled in Russia as well. The Yeti has to be a car that we sell at least 200,000 units a year.”
However, Vahland did not say whether the big Skoda will be based on the VW CrossBlue concept or will be a completely independent car. The offer outside the aforementioned markets is also debatable.
