Detroit witnessed the premiere of the BMW 4 Series

The Munich-based premium automaker BMW officially presented the concept of the successor to the BMW 3 two-door coupe today in Detroit . It will bear the designation 4 Coupé and will reach customers in serial form in 2014.

The exterior design, as well as the platform itself of the 4.64-meter-long car, is logically based on the three-row y and can only be described as breathtaking. The dominant element is mainly the front headlights consisting of LED diodes perfectly complemented by an extravagant front bumper. The result is a predatory look that perfectly matches the dynamic body profile. And we can't even call the rear part settled, dominated by the rear bumper with an integrated pair of exhaust system tailpipes. The overall very positive impression is completed by matte paint, 20-inch alloy wheels and gills located in the fender behind the front wheel. We should see it more often in BMW cars.

And the interior certainly does not lag behind the external shapes. Although it is fully based on the triple series , it can still boast of the finest materials, such as leather, Alcantara or the beautiful paneling of the dashboard made of chestnut wood. The feeling of luxury is completed by sporty leather seats, a multifunctional steering wheel and a large screen of the interior information system. If you are more interested in power units and related driving performance than leather, I have to disappoint you this time. The automaker did not reveal the engine range in Detroit, but we can say with great certainty that it will faithfully copy that of the regular three .
