BMW X5 (F15) 2014 – new generation revealed early!

The current generation BMW X5 was introduced in 2006, and after subsequent modernizations, it was only a matter of time before we would see a new generation design. Currently, the Munich brand BMW is testing the new X5 on circuits and roads of individual countries. However, no one would have expected that the first two images along with the basic information would be revealed today.

For all this, we can thank the model manufacturer Jadi Modelcraft , whose brochure with the new X5 was scanned and the images uploaded to the social network Facebook. The third-generation SUV, codenamed F15 , should be longer but lighter. According to the photos, we can notice that the front grille of the X5 is based on the 3 series, while the bumper with side vents comes from the 4 series. The tail lamps are taken from the smaller X3. The interior should be more luxurious and it will also offer a third row of seats on the American market .

We don't yet know exactly what will appear under the hood, but there is speculation about a 2.0 -liter diesel (245 hp), a 3.0 -liter diesel (302 hp) and a 4.4 -liter twin-turbo V8 with 402 hp. A hybrid system is also realistic, which would include a 3.0 -liter twin-turbocharged gasoline engine and an electric motor – a total output of 335 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. The more powerful X5 M will have different alloy wheels and better tires, specially tuned suspension and also a 4.4-liter twin-turbo eight-cylinder with more power than normal. The existing X5 M offers a power of 547 hp and a torque of 680 Nm.
