Alfa Romeo is preparing a resurrection!

Currently, the Italian car manufacturer Alfa Romeo has nothing to brag about, as it only offers two small hatchbacks based on the Fiat Punto and Bravo in its portfolio – MiTo and Giulietta . However, according to the Italian source autoedizione.com , it seems that better times are shining, because Alfa Rome wants to have nine models in its offer by 2016 !

This information comes from the meeting of the Fiat concern, which took place this week in London. The new models of the Italian carmaker are to cover segment B (Renault Clio, Ford Fiesta, Skoda Fabia) to segment E (Mercedes E-Class or BMW 5 Series). After filling all segments, the brand would like to produce around 300,000 cars per year.

A city car will enter the B segment (probably a replacement for the current MiTo ), while the Giulietta will say goodbye in the C segment and a successor will come again. Segment D, here Alfa Romeo will introduce the long-awaited Giulia model, which will be sold in three variants – sedan, station wagon and crossover . In the last segment E, a luxury sedan will appear, there is speculation about the successor of the 166. In addition, the automaker is preparing three other cars outside the given segments – for now we know about a larger SUV and a new Spider , which will share the platform from the Mazda MX-5 .
