Bmw i8 managed to be captured during a test drive

Earlier this week, a pre-production version of the all-new BMW i8 electric car was caught for the first time driving around a snowy test track in Germany. The BMW i8 is a plug-in hybrid , which means that it can be charged from the regular network, to increase the emission-free range.

According to BMW management, the i8 model will be presented to the public in the middle of next year. Together with it, the smaller BMW i3 is to be introduced. The BMW i8 will get a 2+2 interior arrangement and in terms of driving performance, acceleration from 0-100 km/h is expected in 4.8 seconds, which is a very decent figure.

In addition to the electric motor, there will also be a completely new three-cylinder petrol turbo engine under the hood, which together with the electric motor will provide decent and economical driving characteristics. In addition, the deployment of a turbo engine means that the i8 will probably be even more powerful than originally planned.

As for the price of the car, it will again be set at a high amount. Anecdotal reports even speak of 150,000 euros per piece.
