Peugeot 308 of the new generation in the first pictures

The French car manufacturer Peugeot is preparing for the presentation of the new generation of its 308 model this year and has now released the first official images that capture the car and its interior. The world premiere of the car will take place on September 10 at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

As it is clear from the first official images, the developers have significantly redesigned the new Peugeot 308, and the design of the car is thus moving in a completely new direction. On the car market, the new Peugeot 308 will be aimed mainly against the title-winning Volkswagen Golf VII . The sales of the new 308 should be helped by its still charming appearance, which has long been a standard for French Peugeot cars. The standard equipment will be very rich. For example, LED dipped headlights or integrated navigation are worth mentioning. The interior of the new 308 will be in the spirit of the sister model Peugeot 208, so you can expect a touch center display with voice control and a completely new multifunction steering wheel.

The new Peugeot 308 will use the EMP2 chassis platform, which should ensure a weight saving of up to 140 kilograms compared to the previous generation. Thanks to this, the consumption of the car will be significantly reduced and the resulting CO2 emissions will also decrease. Modernized HDI units will get under the car's hood, and new gasoline engines, including an economical three-cylinder, will not be left out.
