Peugeot 3008 has undergone a significant facelift

Quite possibly, the French Peugeot will have the busiest exhibition at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show . In addition to the main news, the new 308 and the 308 R version derived from it, the French lion will present facelifts of the 3008 and 5008 models and the economical 208 HYbrid FE .

The last novelty that we still have to present from the aforementioned list is the modernized form of the 3008 crossover . With its appearance, it approached the newer models of the brand, which are the 208, 2008 and 308. The front part with "cut-out" headlights in the style of the small 2008 is completely new. The radiator grille received a silver Peugeot inscription and is now smaller in size. In the rear part, the claw motif found its place in the lights, which we know for example from the new 308. There are also 12 body colors to choose from and a new alloy wheel design.

The interior has received higher quality materials and workmanship, visually the biggest novelty is the modified air conditioning and radio controls. In the list of additional equipment, a reversing camera will appear, which will facilitate parking, and a DVD player for the rear passengers.

The range of engines now copies that of the larger MPV 5008. There are currently three petrol units – 1.6 VTi (120 hp) and 1.6 THP (155 and 163 hp), diesel lovers can choose from four units – 1.6 HDi (115 hp), 1.6 e- HDi (115 hp) and 2.0 HDi (150 and 163 hp). The basic gasoline unit is available with a five-speed manual, the weaker THP has one more step, and the most powerful version will offer a six-speed automatic. The 16-litre diesels work with a six-speed manual and the optional ETG6 robotic manual, the weaker two-liter is also available with a six-speed manual, and the most powerful diesel gets a six-speed automatic as standard.

The specialty of the 3008 is the HYbrid4 version . It combines a two-liter HDi with a capacity of 163 hp and an electric motor with a capacity of 50 hp. While the classic internal combustion engine drives the wheels of the front axle, the electric motor drives the wheels of the rear axle. In combination with the ETG6 robotic manual , the HYbrid4 claims only 3.4 l/100 km.
