Porsche 911 GT3 R – Up to the circuit

Porsche presented the racing version of the 911 GT3 model, which the automaker added the letter R to the name. Sure, there was already a similar version based on the previous model, but now the whole special is much lighter thanks to the aluminum construction of the roof, front and rear, fenders and doors. A number of parts are also made from carbon . All windows, including the front one for the first time, are made of polycarbonate .

The wheelbase is now 83 millimeters longer, so the car has a better positioned center of gravity. Aerodynamics and downforce are also better than the previous model. From the more powerful version of the 911 RSR , the smaller eRko borrowed a centrally located radiator, which again helped with better weight distribution than the older version with radiators on the sides. In addition, the cooler positioned in this way is better protected from damage in the event of accidents.

The car is powered by a four-liter flat-six boxer with variable valve timing , which is identical to the regular 911 GT3. The power unit reaches 368 kW and all of it is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed sequential gearbox . Tame the power of the engine thanks to six-piston aluminum brakes with 380 mm front and 372 mm rear ventilated discs. The price was set at 429,000 euros, i.e. less than 12 million crowns.
